![]() ![]() This is also supposed to be completed in the established 45-minute time frame. For the second cycle of the program, you kick it up a notch and add 2 additional FSL sets (7 total) and 2 additional sets of accessory work. Jim loves to use the clock to ensure that athletes aren’t screwing about when training, so for the Prep & Fat Loss program you have 45 minutes to get the work done. Each day is also “full body” meaning that on days where you bench or press, you’re incorporating some single leg work, and on lower body days (squat and deadlift) your incorporating upper body pulling and pushing accessory work. Each day you incorporate body weight movements (for the most part) between each set of the main lifts. Something that I began during the program party was incorporating “hard conditioning”. ![]() I knew that some (a lot, most?) of it was fat, and wanted to cut the fat but retain the muscle. ![]() I chose this template for a couple of reasons: What follows is my review of the 5/3/1 template, “Prep & Fat Loss” found in Forever. For the last three years I’ve run various 531 templates, NSuns, and the SBS Hypertrophy program. Prior to this program I ran the r/gainit program party. ![]()
